The National College Entrance Examination(NCEE) has traditionally been seen as the only means to change life. As the saying goes,Education is the last thing to sacrifice. Therefore,most parents have exhausted all means on children's education. The current education in China have led to the mental exhaustion on parents and the pressure on students. How does it come? Things have to go from the difficulty of NCEE.

高考是个什么难度级别的考试

首先，从全国整体来看，在如此庞大的考生队伍中能考上国内相对较好的大学的人数，可能低到超出我们的想象。

First of all,the number of candidates who are able to be admitted to relatively good universities in China among all may be as low as we think nationwide.

2019年全国高考人数1031万，回顾一下2019年全国考生录取率：一本录取率仅为6%，也就是说，不管能考上什么样的一本学校，都已经是16选1的精英了；211院校的录取率为2.41%，这些考生已经是40选1的超级精英了；985院校录取率仅为0.79%，也就是说，考上985高校实际上是战胜了99%的同龄人；清北录取率低至0.03%，考上这两所中国TOP2高校的考生，万里挑三，可谓天之骄子。

In 2019,there were 10.31 million candidates for NCEE. According to the enrollment rate last year,only 6% of candidates were admitted to the first tier universities. That is to say,no matter what kind of the first tier university was,the candidate was the elite,1 out of 16. The admission rate of 211 project universities was 2.41%,and the candidate was the super elite of 1 out of 40. The rate of 985 Project universities was only 0.79%,thus the candidates have defeated 99% of its peers. And that of Tsinghua University and Peking University was as low as 0.03%. The candidates of the top 2 universities in China are the most favored.

而2019年江西的高考人数是42.1万，全国高考人数排第10名，一本录取率10.4％，211院校录取率6.46％，985院校录取率1.55％，而江西考生考入清华北大的比例约为0.05％。由此江西高考的竞争激烈程度可见一斑。

In 2019,there were 421,000 NCEE candidates in Jiangxi,ranking 10th nationwide,with the admission rate of 10.4% for the first tier university,6.46% for 211 Project university,1.55% for 985 Project university,and about 0.05% for Tsinghua University and Peking University. Therefore,the NCEE is fiercely competitive among Jiangxi students.

高考竞争小的城市的学生更青睐留学

反观北京、上海、天津等发达的一线城市，凭借着考生总数少和优质高校总数多的优势，这些地方的学生有了更高的录取可能性。换言之，这些地方的学生更容易考上国内的优质大学。

On the contrary,students in first tier cities such as Beijing,Shanghai and Tianjin possess a higher possibility of admission with the advantages of fewer examinees and more high-quality universities. In other words,students in these plaCES are more likely to enter the high-quality universities in China.

然而让人意外的是，在这些城市，高考并没有成为考生的唯一选择。

Surprisingly,however,the NCEE has not become the only choice for examinees in these cities the college entrance examination has not become the only choice for examinees.

据宜校《2019年度全国本科留学申请结果分析报告》数据显示：北京、上海、广东和江苏这4个省市基本上各占全国本科留学人数的15%以上，总数占全国出国总量60%以上。即便是在高考竞争强度更低的城市，为何有更多的学生视留学为更好的出路呢？

According to the report The Application Results of National Undergraduate Study Abroad in 2019 by Myfitcollege,students from Beijing,Shanghai,Guangdong and Jiangsu basically account for more than 60% of the total number of undergraduate study abroad in China,15% for each. In fact,the NCEE is less competitive in these cities,why do more students regard studying abroad as a better future?

以教育资源极为丰富的上海为例，2019年上海的一本录取率为21.80%，全国排名第3。只有近五分之一的考生能录取较好的大学，剩下的考生情况仍然堪忧。

For example,Shanghai is abundant in education resources,and its admission rate for the first tier university was 21.80% in 2019,ranking the third in China. Only about a fifth of the candidates are able to be admitted to good universities,and the rest are still worrying.

即使是双一流、普通本一院校大学的毕业生找工作仍有碰壁的可能。当今大学教育体制和社会需求严重脱节，明显缺乏研究实力，学校的考核以标准化为原则，教育的重心转到了考试成绩更高。这些应试教育没能塑造创新和活力的学生，但是按照社会需要大量技能型人才的要求，这些毕业生又缺乏了实际操作的本领。这就是造成国内大学生就业不太被看好。

Even the graduates of Double First-rate universities and ordinary first tier universities are still likely to encounter difficulties in employment. The recent university education system and social needs have been seriously out of line,which is obviously lack of research strength. The university assessment is based on the principle of standardization,and the focus of education is shifted to higher test scores. The exam-oriented education fails to create innovative and dynamic students. But,according to the requirements of the society for a large number of skilled talents,these graduates lack the ability of practical operation. This is the result that the employment of domestic college students is not very good.
